Landscape Optimization

RFC Analyzer

SUIM's RFC Analyzer (RFCA) enables the analysis and optimization of RFC connections across your entire system landscape and closes security gaps. Common errors include connections pointing to a dead system, being associated with obsolete users, or being created by users who are no longer administrators.
Solution is SAP certified - integration with SAP S4/HANA
Overview

Many organizations have complex architectures with hundreds of systems making it difficult to keep track of existing connections. From the central system, SUIM's RFCA analyzes the RFC destinations on all your satellite systems, as well as connected users, roles and profiles, allowing you to identify and delete obsolete, non-functioning, or unauthorized RFCs.

Efficiency

SUIM's RFCA replaces highly complex and time-consuming manual analysis of all your systems with an automated check that delivers clear recommendations for actions to optimize your systems.

Flexibility

RFCA can integrate/verify the naming convention for different attributes of a RFC connection, meaning it adapts to your individual system landscape.

Simplicity

All RFC destinations can be monitored centrally without having to log on to each system. The results display is user-friendly, with coloured sets that immediately highlight inconsistencies. With a drill down you can quickly change the RFCs in the target systems.

Authorizations related entitites

Authorization related entities represent elements of an IT solution/product that is delivered within this SUIM product and can be integrated  for generation, administration, provisionning and/or monitoring purposes.

Identity related entitites

Identity entities represent reource-related elements (identity, organization, user) of a solution/IT product that can be integrated in this SUIM product for administration, provisionning and/or analysis purposes.

Integration with 3rd parties products

Third-party products corresponds to all SAP and non-SAP, on-premises or cloud IT solutions/products for which this SUIM product has been interfaced / integrated. Each of theses connectors will be delivered within this SUIM product

Integration in other SUIM products

The other SUIM products are the other SUIM modules, which are not part of this solution, but for which integration adds value.
TOP 5 Features

Detect and correct your connection inconsistencies

SUIM's RFCA integrates the naming and security conventions for your RFC connections attributes (e.g. technical names, DNS or IP server, user names, connection descriptions, creator or modifier of the RFC, non-existent system/client, etc.), allowing you to automatically detect and correct inconsistencies.

Action log for the validations and audit purposes

It is possible to create validations and/or mitigations for each inconsistency found. A profound reporting exists to view and analyze these logs for audit purposes.

Usage statistics of each RFC destination

The last usage date as well as the detailed usage of the RFC destination are provided - e.g. user group, user type or the validity of user. The report displays the source and target system used by the RFC connection, the executor, the indirect executor in case of a technical user defined in the RFC connection, the executed transaction, and each RFC function and function group used during the usage of the RFC connection and many more.

Reporting Functionality

The following reporting functionality is provided:

  • Inventory of all RFCs per target system, server, user used, etc.
  • Comparison of DNS or IP addresses of a system
  • Password check
  • Check Authorizations of the user stored on the target system
Detect violations

In the Competence Centers, a group of users are responsible for the administration of the RFCs. Modifying or creating RFC destinations by people outside this group can pose a risk to the security of system data. RFCA finds these violations and helps mitigate them in the event of a false alarm.

Holistic consistency analysis

Conduct a holistic consistency analysis of RFC destinations to protect your interface landscape. Validate automatically several RFC attributes such as the naming convention/description of the RFCs, creators, modifiers or authorizations from a centralized platform in a simplified way.
