License Optimizer
SUIM's License Optimizer follows the basic principle that a license type should be determined by what a user actually uses or can potentially use. LO ensures you only pay for the licenses you use and need. For the measurement of the service reference (system measurement), it is crucial that the correct license types are assigned to user master records. LO ensures that the license type applied complies with the applicable policies.

Simplicity
LO has the possibility to assign multiple licenses (independent from SAP) for internal cost allocation to companies/groups of users.
Add your individual license types to the LO. For each element in the analytical components (SUIM roles, SAP roles, transactions and API objects), you specify which target license type should result from usage.
LO provides profound analysis and optimization features:
- LO helps you to identify users which are not valid and/or not active for a specific period (based on the last login date). This data will be consolidated for decision-making to reduce the number of licensed users.
- In addition, LO is capable to detect the indirect usage with technical users and to display user, which triggered the action.
- The LO engine collects license-relevant data (e.g. number of employees, memory capacity) for better understanding of your SAP Licensing which helps you to indentify cost drivers.
The powerful reporting capabilities allow you to track license allocation and consumption and to gain complete overview of your organization’s assets:
- Level 1: overview of all license types used with quantities, percentages and costs/revenues per license type.
- Level 2: target/actual license type per user in ILV and system measurement.
- Level 3: actual usage per user/system, consisting of roles, transactions and API objects and the resulting license types.
- Level 4: details of the authorizations.
Assign and revoke licenses automatically based on employee roles and scale your license portfolio effortlessly as your organization grows and evolves.
